Exactly 30 anniversary since the original Toy Story movie was released, launching the animation giant as a leading animation studio and bringing audiences to iconic figures like Woody (Tom Hanks) and the space ranger (Tim Allen), who are now famous worldwide.

In 2026, the fifth installment is scheduled for release. The initial preview for Toy Story 5 appeared recently, offering a glimpse into the storyline but keeping viewers curious how it will resolve the conclusion of Toy Story 4.

The Latest Addition: A Frog-Shaped Tablet Spooks the Gang

In the teaser reveals the young girl — who inherited the toy collection when he left for college — receiving a brand new toy, one that terrifies Woody, Buzz, and the crew. Bonnie acquires her first tablet computer, and she is thrilled about it.

Theoretically, the frog-shaped tablet will come to life just like Bonnie's other toys. However, the toys seem to view it as a threat intending to supplant them, which it likely will.

Woody's Return: Unanswered Questions from Toy Story 4

An element the trailer avoids is what the sheriff is back with his friends in the child's bedroom. The end of Toy Story 4 saw him embark on a fresh journey with the shepherdess (Annie Potts), traveling with a fair and assisting giveaway items locate loving owners.

Surely, the filmmakers will address the consequences of Toy Story 4 in the movie. Seeing him show up in Bonnie's room without warning is a little strange, though. It also makes us wonder whether Bo Peep will have returned with Woody. And what about Duke Caboom (the star)?

Fortunately, some aspects are carrying over from the prior film. The last thing the cowboy did before setting off for his new life was hand over his sheriff badge to Jessie (Joan Cusack), entrusting her as the leader of Bonnie's bedroom. In the teaser shows the badge attached to her outfit.
